Browning Mode on the TM7: Finally, Real Flavour in Every Dish

The Thermomix TM7 has introduced one of the most-requested upgrades of all time: manual access to high-heat Browning Mode. No more guided recipe restrictions. No more workarounds. Just true, caramelised flavour at your fingertips—anytime you need it.
🔥 What Is Browning Mode?
Browning Mode on the TM7 unlocks manual cooking at up to 160°C, giving you control over the Maillard reaction—the magic that creates golden colour and deep, savoury flavour.
In previous models (like the TM6), high temperatures were only available within guided recipes and required precise weighing. With the TM7, that limitation is gone.
Now, you can sauté, sear, and caramelise anything you like—on your own terms.
🍳 What Can You Cook?
This mode transforms the way we start recipes. Some game-changing examples:
Onions and garlic – Get that golden edge for the base of soups and sauces.
Pancetta or bacon – Yes, crispy pancetta for carbonara is finally a reality!
Mushrooms – Browning mushrooms intensifies umami flavour and texture.
Root veg – Think golden cubes of potato, sweet potato, or carrot for hearty dishes.
Minced meat – Browning mince for bolognese or chilli adds proper depth.
This is where your meals go from good to restaurant-level.
👨🍳 Tips for Browning Like a Pro
Use the splash guard to prevent any splatter if cooking without the measuring cup.
Don’t overcrowd the bowl – give ingredients room to colour properly.
Add fats early – oils and butter help with even browning.
Stir occasionally – use slow stir speeds to gently move food for even caramelisation.
Why It Matters
Until now, browning was the one thing Thermomix couldn’t quite master independently. But with the TM7, it’s finally possible to build deep flavour directly in the bowl, saving time, washing up, and unlocking even better results.
From risottos to stews to crispy stir-fried veg—Browning Mode puts pro-level flavour into your hands.
