Cookidoo Recipe Translation: Discover More Recipes From Around the World

One of the most requested improvements to Cookidoo is finally arriving: Recipe Translation.

Cookidoo already has an enormous international recipe library, but until now language could make exploring recipes from another Cookidoo country difficult.

Recipe Translation is designed to change that.

Which Cookidoo recipes can be translated?

At launch, the feature applies to recipes published by Cookidoo in these seven countries:

Germany

France

Poland

Spain

Portugal

Italy

UK & Ireland

This is important because eligibility is based on where the Cookidoo recipe was originally published.

It isn't simply based on the language currently showing on screen.

Which languages are supported?

Eligible recipes can be translated into:

German

French

Polish

Spanish

Portuguese

Italian

English

So, for example, a UK Cookidoo user could discover a recipe originally published by Cookidoo Italy and translate it into English.

Why this is such a big Cookidoo update

Different Cookidoo countries often have completely different recipes and collections.

That means there are fantastic recipes sitting elsewhere in the Cookidoo library that customers might never have considered using because they weren't comfortable cooking from another language.

Translation changes that.

You could potentially explore:

Italian regional cooking.

Polish baking.

French classics.

Portuguese dishes.

Spanish favourites.

German recipes.

And cook them using a language you're comfortable following.

How does it work?

When an eligible recipe is available for translation, the translation option appears within Cookidoo.

Choose your preferred supported language and Cookidoo translates the recipe for you.

You can then continue into the recipe and Guided Cooking.

It makes the international side of Cookidoo much more accessible.

And this appears to be only the beginning, with more to come in the future.
