Cookidoo Just Got Bigger: New Assistant, Recipe Translation & Arabic Support

Cookidoo is getting some of its biggest updates yet, with new features designed to make finding, discovering and cooking recipes even easier.

The latest updates include Cookidoo Assistant, Recipe Translation, Arabic language support on TM7, and a new collection celebrating flavours from across the Arab world.

Rather than simply searching through recipes, Cookidoo is becoming much more personal and interactive.

Cookidoo Assistant

Cookidoo Assistant lets you search in a much more natural way.

Instead of choosing lots of filters, you can simply ask for what you need.

For example:

“Find me a quick dinner ready in 20 minutes.”

“I have peppers, courgette and rice. What can I make?”

“Find me a five-star cupcake recipe.”

“I want something Mediterranean and child friendly.”

“Plan a three-course dinner for four people.”

The Assistant can help with recipe discovery, ingredients, ratings, meal planning, comparisons and more.

It makes Cookidoo feel much less like a recipe database and much more like a cooking companion.

Recipe Translation

Recipe Translation opens up even more of Cookidoo's international recipe library.

Initially, translation is available for recipes published by Cookidoo in seven countries:

Germany, France, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and UK & Ireland.

Recipes originating from these countries can be translated into:

German, French, Polish, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English.

That means UK and Ireland customers can, for example, discover an Italian, German or Polish Cookidoo recipe and translate it into English before cooking it.

The important distinction is that translation depends on which country originally published the recipe, rather than simply the language the recipe is currently displayed in.

Arabic comes to TM7

Arabic language support is also being introduced to TM7, including an Arabic keyboard and Arabic demo experience.

Alongside this comes more than 100 Arabic recipes on Cookidoo, helping make the Thermomix ecosystem more accessible to Arabic-speaking cooks.

A new Cookidoo collection, Taste of Home: Arab Flavours & Traditions, celebrates recipes inspired by food from across the Arab world.

The collection includes dishes representing countries including Morocco, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

When are the updates arriving?

The updates are rolling out during September:

21 September TM7 Arabic language and keyboard support, Arabic demo experience and Arabic Cookidoo content.

21 September TM6 compatibility updates including Recipe Translation support.

23 September Cookidoo mobile app update including Cookidoo Assistant and AI Recipe Translation.

Cookidoo continues to grow beyond Guided Cooking. These updates make it easier to discover new food, use ingredients you already have and explore recipes from much further afield.

And it sounds like there is still more to come.
